Spring Foliage

Inspired from landscape photography of the Oregon plains in spring. The general process was sculpting in Zbrush, texturing in substance painter and a combination of hand construction and speed tree for the final geometry. Substance designer was also useful as a final texture pass, balancing the various outputs between Substance Painter and the Speed Tree as well as combining the ao, roughness and translucency into a composite texture. Card elements themselves are built with nanite in mind, using some additional geometry while keeping overdraw to a minimum.
