A narrow mountain pass leads to a mysterious portal structure. Taking portal stones as inspiration for an abandoned gateway relic. People native to the area use it a landmark in their travel. Cliffs and rocks sculpted in Z-Brush. Materials created in Subtance Designer and Painter. The foliage built using Z brush, Substance and Speed Tree which was helpful in quickly generating variations for the trees and bushes where needed. Additional variation is created using a world space mask tint for larger material break ups. Additional inspiration taken from Halo infinity for the setting and and Assassins' Creed Valhalla for lighting and foliage.
